We won't beat the birds with fighting or brutality - unless everyone starts banging away with strong clean hits, similar to what we did against the habs.

What's really sad is they waited until game 2 to start doing this.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9215652504344172254.post-12028181783169304642013-05-16T18:35:28.134-04:002013-05-16T18:35:28.134-04:00Yeah, I likely don't see us as dominant. If he heals back he might be the same, what if he doesn't?

Gonchar, Alfie, Phillips, Neil will all leave at some point. Who fills that void at two-way play Alfredsson leaves behind? What about on defence?

Toronto looks pretty good; their meltdown is pretty much attributable to their lack of playoff experience and youth. Kinda like ours back in the day when we made a lot of mistakes.

I'll continue to follow the team as I always have, but the honeymoon period is over for Murray. These vaunted prospects need to vault the team to first place overall and a Cup finals in the next few years or the rebuild has been a dud.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9215652504344172254.post-88206583808344851252013-05-16T11:48:42.404-04:002013-05-16T11:48:42.404-04:00The Sens have a chance if they can generate more s...The Sens have a chance if they can generate more scoring opportunities. Philly won last year because they exposed Pitts weak goaltending. The Sens would have a much better chance at doing the same if they get Spezza in the lineup. I'd even throw O'Brien in there.

I don't think bullying the Pens will work. They'll destroy us on the powerplay.

I like your optimism about the coming years with divisional play. I'm not sure things look that rosy. Florida's about to add franchise player Nathan Mackinnon, while Tampa's about to add bonafide future all-star Johnathon Drouin to a lineup that already includes Stamkos and Hedman.

Boston may be in slight decline, but it's more of a changing of the guard phase than a decline. Dougie Hamilton is a possible future Norris contender, Rask is a star goalie, and Seguin is a future all-star center. And, the Bruins are still winning while they're changing the guard.

The Sens look good in goal and on D, but I don't see elite prospects in the forward group. Good players, yes. Elite all-stars, no.

I don't see any team in the division as dominant. They all just look good, including Ottawa.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9215652504344172254.post-62820600151812733922013-05-16T10:51:21.926-04:002013-05-16T10:51:21.926-04:00I grew up in Winnipeg.
